Ten members of the Spanners arts group, will visit Orkney with Ruth, Linsday and Jenny.
During the visit we will work with the Muddy Funksters, visit the Pier Arts Centre, The Italian Cheapel, Skara Brae, Meashowe, The Ring of Brodgar and Rackwick beach on Hoy. Whilst on Hoy we will be joined by members of the Pier Group and visit the 20 international artists who are taking part in the two week Triangle Arts workshop. We will create work indoors or outdoors, weather permitting, in response to our surroundings using: the natural and found materials around us, video and stills photos.

The Timespan Youth programme ‘Ours’ is designed to engage and develop long-term relationships with young people who have limited access to artists or galleries in this remote area of North West Scotland; supporting them in developing and managing their own projects.
The programme is led by Timespan's artist in residence Ruth Macdougall - August 2007 - August 2009.

hiya im writing this in the youth hostel in orkney.
dinner is being made:D
today we went to the italian chapel,and a workshop with the muddy funksters,
we made bird models,it was realy fun.
