On the 24th of May, members of the Spanners will be heading North, first to visit and take part in building an Earth Ship! watch this space...
Following this, the group will head along the North coast to visit the studio and sculpture garden of internationally renowned ceramicist, Lotte Glob.
The rest of the day will be spent visiting Balnakeil crafts village and the beach.
In the evening , the group will meet up with the Durness youth group, have dinner together and weather permitting, take part in arts related activities on ther beach.

Finally something I can get to easily! And only a while ago I thought there weren't any art groups in the highlands... well, except for Vasu and that's more an art council.

we are back.
it was great fun and really interesting, especially Lotty Globs sculpture garden and Smoo cave. Also the beaches were lovely in exception to the cows lol and the bunk house was really nice. we were really lucky as well with the weather, it was lurvely and sunny most of the time but it was quite windy some time.
Highlights were orioes, sandcastles, sand pictionary and my cute little dragon thingy i bought.
I also canna wait to see what my glass hart comes out like :D.
